I was diagnosed with cancer of the tongue which required a long surgical procedure, chemotherapy and radiation treatment. The radiation treatment stripped me of all the salivary glands in my mouth which created a serious problem for me. The lack of salivation began serious tooth decay and my teeth began to break and basically fall out. I couldn't eat properly and my quality of life began to diminish. I needed a dentist and that's when I went to Dr. Checchio. I found Dr. Checchio to be a competent and caring professional who took my case without hesitation. His many years of experience and several degrees and certifications gave me confidence that he was the right dentist for me. He informed me that the radiation left me basically without teeth and he reassured me that he could help me. Before Dr. Checchio began the dental procedures he conferred with the radiologist to make sure that I was able to assume the dental treatment he felt was necessary. That's when Dr.Checchio began his work. Throughout the next year I had several appointments with Dr. Checchio and through his effort and creativity he began to create a healthy set of teeth for me that I desperately needed. Step by step Dr. Checchio created a foundation in my mouth that would eventually result in a new quality of life that I could never have imagined. Without his caring and continued consideration for my issue I wouldn't be enjoying the benefits of his work. Dr Joe is a kind thorough dentist. I have never been to a dentist that actually devised a plan to take care of my teeth, gums and mouth . Also he will take care of you promptly with your dental emergencies ( that always seem to happen on the week end) Dr Joe WILL be there for you.
